Wow. This weekend, we only left the house to go for a walk (missed out on one yesterday because it was drizzling most of the day) and had a very, very relaxing two days. Well, as far as physically I suppose, because mentally I didn't stop!

On Saturday I got the first round of edits for my upcoming Damnation Books short story, BETTER OFF ALONE. I got them back to my wonderful editor as soon as I could. Then, yesterday the second round was waiting in my Inbox. Talk about fast! But because I love to tackle edits as soon as I get them -- seriously, I get a little obsessive about it -- I managed to work my way through that round too. So, now they're done! Yay. BETTER OFF ALONE is pretty much done now, just gotta get the final cover. I've caught a glimpse and I love it so far.

Thanks to my editor (waving at Lea) this story is a lot tighter, and reads a hell of a lot smoother too. In case you're wondering, it's the small tale of a girl who happens to live in a world filled with zombies. After her safe haven is compromised, she's forced to leave and stumbles on some fellow survivors. Except, what she uncovers in this place is enough to make things even worse than they seemed at first. :)

Oh, I think I should mention that if you're interested in buying a copy of FAITHLESS, you might want to grab one before the end of this month. At the moment it's still available for under $1 (so cheap, how could you resist? lol) but on December 1, it'll go up to $4.50. That's a bit of a difference, itsn't it?

Also, you can now read the blurb for Wither over at the Samhain Publishing website. What do you think? I still reckon that cover is blazing hot, on several levels. :)

It's Monday, so I'm headed back into the dark and strange world of my NaNoWriMo novel. It's already got a name, but like so many other writers, I don't like sharing the name until it's finished and/or contracted. So, we'll just keep calling it the NaNo novel for now. ;) Anyway. My word count goal for today is supposed to be 14,400 but since I've passed that, I'm aiming for Wednesday's goal which is 19,200 words.

Okay. I better get to it. Why does it always take me so long to get into the swing of things on Mondays? :/ See ya!
